The latest in a wave of attacks in Afghanistan has targeted the European Union.
Extremist group the Taliban has claimed responsibility for a suicide car bomb attack on a European Union Police Mission (EUPOL) vehicle in the capital Kabul.
At least three people have died, officials say.
A EUPOL spokeswoman said all personnel were safe, but confirmed another person travelling in the vehicle had been killed.
Two Afghan civilian bystanders are also thought to have died.
The assault took place near the main airport. Authorities say the EUPOL vehicle was rammed by a Toyota Corolla, on the road to a nearby NATO base.
EUPOL officials are in the country to advise Afghan law enforcement officials.
