The Sisters Who Survived Auschwitz’s Twisted Kindergarten

At little over thirteen years old, Eva Slonim was transported to Auschwitz and subjected to the horrific attentions of the man who came to be known as ‘The Angel of Death’. Those who did not survive the death camps begged her for one thing – “Remember”.

Sixty years after her liberation by the Russian army, a survivor remembers the horrors she suffered at the hands of the Nazis, and especially as an object of experiment for the infamous Dr Mengele who mutilated and killed a countless number of children.
